The decoration on this bag was inspired by the flowers in my
garden. It has also been made using a variety of the Suffolk
Puff makers. The Small Flower shaped one offers various
possibilities |

New from Japan this year is Shrink This
polyester film can be used either way up. Place a piece on the back
of your fabric and then sew lines. Hold a steam iron above the
shrink and give it a burst of steam. This will cause the fabric to
shrink. It can be unpicked and res-used. It creates lovely
waves (far right) on sea fabric or ripples on sand (left). Use it on
velvet and create textured cuffs. Play!
There are two types. The denser shrink will shrink by 30% (e.g. blue
fabric) or the filmsy one by 15% (e.g. yellow fabric). Both cost
£12.95 a metre. Sample pack containing 2 x 10" squares, one of

GROSGRAIN RIBBONS |
| I was delighted to track down a reasonably priced source of
these great textured ribbons. I have managed to get the very
narrow 3mm ones - available in 26 colours - as well as very narrow ones
with a line of stitching down the middle. The 10mm wide grosgrains
have two rows of stitching. The ribbed effect of these ribbons is
great for use in ribbon weaving, on cards etc. See details under

ADHESIVE RIBBONS |
| One of our British ribbon manufacturer's have made me some
7mm metallic gold and silver ribbon with adhesive on the back. These
ribbons stick to fabric as well as card and I am finding them very useful. |
